ABOUT MEADOW ONE LOFT RACE

My journey in pigeon racing started in 1993.

One of my biggest achievements came when I was 18 years old as a Junior Member at the Croydon Club. I won the Young Bird Derby, Young Bird Averages and Combined Averages all in the same season. I'll never forget that feeling. All the hard work, dedication and sacrifice had paid off.

I'm forever grateful to the Croydon Club and proud to have been part of it. I owe a lot of my success to the people who supported me along the way.

I continued racing through the late 90s and joined the VHA in 2000. I was driven by my passion for the sport and by 2002 I had produced a number of strong Federation results.

In 2002, I won my first Federation race, which was something I was very proud of. I had a few smaller wins after that, but in 2004 I won a very hard Federation race, the Mildura 300 Mile. That win meant a lot to me and gave me the confidence to keep pushing forward.

After the Mildura win, I took a break from racing to focus on breeding. During that time, I was fortunate enough to purchase some top bloodlines, including Gaby, Houben and Flor Engels pigeons. These birds helped me build a strong breeding family and set me up for future success in the racing loft.

In 2020, I decided to start Meadow One Loft Race. Since then, I have put my heart into managing the loft and caring for the pigeons entrusted to us. The welfare of the birds and creating a welcoming environment for fanciers has always been important to me.

One of the things I enjoy most is welcoming people from all over Australia to Meadow One Loft Race. It's great seeing fanciers come together, sharing stories, making friendships and enjoying the sport we all love. While everyone wants to win, the sense of community is what makes this event so special.
